Professional Teacher Induction Program
BTSA Calendar
The El Dorado BTSA Consortium provides opportunities for first- and second-year teachers to expand and deepen their teaching knowledge and skill. BTSA uses criteria aligned with the California Standards for the Teaching Profession to help teachers examine their own professional growth over the two years of the program. The goals of the El Dorado BTSA Professional Induction Consortium are to:
- Improve student performance through enhanced training, information, and assistance for participating teachers
- Ensure professional success and retention of promising participating teachers through professional support
- Implement a system of support and formative assessment based on the California Standards for the Teaching Profession
- Increase the teaching effectiveness and motivation of experienced teachers as a result of their participation as support providers to new teachers.
